Toma Verde

Toma Verde Tomatillo is an early maturing variety that yields medium green fruit. Fruit are encased in a papery husk that turn from green to tan and eventually split open as the fruit grows and ripens. Harvest when the fruit are green but softening: they have excellent keeping qualities, much like ground cherries. 

Toma Verde is great for salsa verdes and other traditional Mexican dishes

These plants are easy to grow and will do so tall and wide! Be sure to give it the room it needs. 

Tomatoes are naturally quite drought tolerant, and yields are better when grown in the ground because their root systems are adventurous and incredibly resilient.

Seed starting:

These guys like a head start - start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost (depending on your region). Sow the small seeds 1/8inch deep, keeping the soil warm and moist. Plant outside in full sun once all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed.
