Cosmos bipinnatus.

Annual plant, open pollinated.

Seashell cosmos is absolutely radiant. I marvel at this flower that is traced back to the 1800s ! The petals are fluted, curled into tubes that gather the dew. The plant grows tall, up to 5 feet, and produce an abundance of flowers. They also self-sow very easily, and might come back the next year.  Plant in its own cosmo corner of your garden if you want a perennial type flower bed.

40 seeds per pack.

Seed starting

Start indoors 4 weeks before last frost, lightly covered, keeping the soil moist at all times. Once the true leaves emerge, pot up in bigger containers. Transplant outside once all danger of frost has passed.  OR Direct seed outside once all danger of frost has passed -this technique has worked wonderfully here on the farm. Less work, great results.
