San Marzanon is a plum tomato in shape, and is known as a paste and processing variety.  It reliably produces heavy yields (over a long period of time) of elongated fruit that ripen to a brilliant lustrous red. The fruit do not contain much water or seed, and their meaty texture and delicate taste make it one of the best varieties for cooking into rich think sauces.

These plants are known to have good disease resistance, and this variety is particularly drought tolerant! It yielded many delicious beautiful fruit in a worrisome dry summer.
