Also known as Preacher bean.
Pole bean. Dry bean. Snap bean.
Rattlesnake pole bean is a very productive heirloom that loves to climb high. All purpose bean: harvest the young mottled beans as snap, or use the dry beans in chilis, soups, etc. They can also be frozen and canned! Very productive variety that is very easy to grow.
Days to maturity: 60 days for snap beans.
30 seeds per pack.
Seed starting:
For bush beans, pole beans and runner beans.
Direct seed in your garden once all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Beans do not tolerate frost. Early June is when we plant around here. Sow seed about 1” deep. Darker coloured seeds tend to germinate better in cooler soils.
Pole beans and runner beans need something to climb!
We live and garden on ancestral territory of Algonquin Anishnaabeg People, forever territory of wild fauna & flora, cultivated lands of Irish and French settlers, and now beloved home of the junco seeds family (humans, chickens, dogs, sheep and cats)
