Borago officinalis

Annual plant, open pollinated. 

Borage is a special plant - it is very hardy, the leaves look foggy and flowers are periwinkle coloured and delicious. The whole plant is edible. It is a wonderful pollinator and companion to so many others. It will reseed itself and quickly take over, so take care to plant it on borders or in its own dedicated borage corner of the garden.

Seed starting

Direct seed out in the garden as soon as soil can be worked (tolerates cold), approximately two weeks before the last frost. Plant at a depth of 1/4inch.
