Eruca sativa.
Annual, open pollinated.
Arugula is an heirloom green that has been used since roman times! This green is Mediterranean in origin. A peppery addition to salads, a perfect topping for pizza, I love to eat it with mustard greens. A must have in the garden, as it will produce all summer long- it will head up into dusty white flowers, at which point the peppery greens will intensify in taste.
